Camila Figueiras Meriggi, known professionally as Mila, is a multi-talented actress, singer, dancer, executive producer, director, casting agent, and teacher, born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. From a very young age, she was captivated by the magic of music and the performing arts. Her stage credits include celebrated productions such as Les Misérables, Hairspray, We Will Rock You, In The Heights, Footloose, and Legally Blonde. A dynamic and versatile performer, Mila has enchanted audiences on international cabaret circuits, appeared in acclaimed short films and the iconic series And Just Like That for HBO Max; and toured globally as a soloist artist across New York, Argentina, and Australia. With her powerful presence and distinctive voice, she brings to life breathtaking performances that leave a lasting impression on stages around the world.
EARLY AGES
At the age of 19, Mila was awarded a merit-based scholarship to attend the prestigious Musical Theatre Conservatory Program at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in New York City—one of the leading performing arts institutions in the U.S. She graduated with honors, earning a 3.9 GPA, and made history by founding AMDA’s first-ever student-led organization, the Latin Alliance. Created to celebrate and elevate Latin identity within the student community, the alliance became a space for cultural connection and empowerment. Before fully dedicating herself to the performing arts, Mila studied Communication and Marketing in Buenos Aires.
Mila majored in Musical Theatre, receiving rigorous, multidisciplinary training from a distinguished faculty of Broadway professionals. She studied Acting with Brian O'Neill, Michael Blatt, Jim Elliott, and Diane Cesla; Voice with renowned Broadway vocal coach Christopher Stephens—who continues to be a vital part of her artistic development—and Musical Theatre Techniques and Broadway Industry with acclaimed performers and educators Kristen Mengelkoch, Kathy Morath, and Chryssie Whitehead. Her dance training was shaped by celebrated choreographers and performers including George Nieves, Ramón Galindo, Shiloh Goodin, Nic Thompson, Dee Tomasetta, and Oren Korenblum, all of whom brought extensive Broadway and industry experience into the program.
In addition, Mila further refined her dance technique at Broadway Dance Center in New York City, training under the guidance of some of the industry’s most sought-after choreographers.
THE AMERICAN MUSICAL AND DRAMATIC ACADEMY - NEW YORK CITY
While at AMDA, Mila brought to life a wide range of complex and beloved characters across both musical theatre and classical plays. Her performances include Charity in Sweet Charity, Maria in The Sound of Music, Rhonda in Woman of Manhattan, Rizzo in Grease, Sherrie in Rock of Ages, Beth in Blue Surge, Madge in Picnic, and Martirio in The House of Bernarda Alba. She also showcased her classical training by portraying Pauline in The Winter’s Tale, Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, and Rosalind in As You Like It—all iconic roles from Shakespeare’s canon.
NEW YORK CITY - BROADWAY INDUSTRY
Shortly after graduating, Mila made her television debut on And Just Like That—the continuation of Sex and the City—for HBO Max. She has also graced the stage at some of New York City’s most renowned Broadway cabarets, including The Comeback Cabaret at Don't Tell Mama, Super Arts Secret, Let’s Broadway, and Chasing Dreams Broadway Cabaret, showcasing her talent in the heart of the Big Apple.
Besides, Mila has worked for the Broadway industry as a Broadway Brand Ambassador for Chicago, Cirque Du Soleil, Jersey Boys, Radio City Rockettes. And for Araca Group, a Tony Award-winning theatrical production company, dedicated to developing, producing, and delivering theatrical content for audiences throughout the world including Wicked, Americano!, Beetlejuice, and Hadestown, among others.
In addition, Mila has worked for Sound Associates, the longest running sound and video company on Broadway, in musicals like Into the woods, Funny Girl, The Girl from the North Country, Paradise Square, Plaza Suite, The Phantom of the Opera, MJ The Musical and Hamilton.
A PASSION FOR TEACHING AND SHAPING ARTISTS
While building her performance career in New York City, Mila discovered a profound passion for teaching and mentoring the next generation of artists. She served as an instructor in musical theatre, arts management, acting, and dance, imparting her vast knowledge and professional experience to students of all ages and cultural backgrounds. With a nurturing yet disciplined approach, Mila empowered her students to explore their creative voices, refine their technique, and cultivate confidence both on and off the stage. For Mila, teaching became a natural extension of her artistry—an opportunity to inspire, uplift, and make a lasting contribution to the performing arts community.
CHASING DREAMS PRODUCTIONS
Mila founded the first Latinx & International Broadway Cabaret Show in New York City, together with her work partner Delfina Perret. Mila is the Executive Producer and Delfina the Artistic Director. Together they have been running Chasing Dreams Broadway Cabaret Series at Don't Tell Mama Cabaret, a world-famous entertainment destination for cabaret shows in New York City. Countless luminaries have performed there such as Liza Minnelli, Paul Newman, Bette Midler, Chita Rivera, Audra MacDonald and Kristin Chenoweth.
With Chasing Dreams, she brought together Latinx and International performers to create a dynamic, cross-cultural Broadway cabaret experience that celebrates diversity and talent from around the globe.
